An Albuquerque painter. Still working. We honor the eye, not a private life.
Don Vanderslice is a living Albuquerque painter. The work people know him for looks at the light of this place — adobe, chrome, a sky that does too much — instead of a postcard version of it.
We don’t speak for him, and we don’t invent a studio. If you are him, or his family, and a line here is wrong, write the desk and we will fix it.
The picture on this page is paint and metal. It is not his face. This is an independent tribute.
Independent tribute to an Albuquerque hero. Not affiliated with the person, the family, or any team or foundation that carries the name. We don’t use their photograph. See a mistake? Write dukecitylegends@gmail.com.
